Hey Boo Boo. There's a picnic on Hollyslope Road1039 viewsMeet Bear #513. According to the Department of Fish and Wildlife its a young female that tagged in Monrovia in May of 2017. They estimated her weight then at 200 pounds. She was pretty calm and wasn't bothered by me taking pictures of her. I used a telephoto lens of course. UPDATE This might actually be Bear #515.

Bear On The Street 8-26-20181049 viewsNot an image from the CritterCam but another example of wildlife on the street. He she was watching me watching her. Then she just went back to eating lunch.

Bear In Driveway 8-7-20151014 viewsI set a second Trail Cam up. This time in our front yard. Didn't take long to capture a visitor.

Another Day Another Bear 7-23-20181118 viewsThis Bear has been on the street several times the last few days. He was leisurely enjoying some fresh oranges off of our neighbors tree. Didn't seem to be bothered by us at all and likewise it didn't bother us.

He has a Yellow Tag in his ear. Might be Bear #515. I'm trying to find out more about him from Fish and Wildlife.

Our Regular Bear2477 viewsCritters are alive and well on Holly Slope. This Bear makes regular visits. Sometimes 2 or 3 times a week. Usually around Midnight. Leila and I ran into him one evening near the circle around 11pm on a late walk . Fortunately he wanted nothing to do with us and took off running across the dirt lot towards the ravine.

Two Times The Fun2455 viewsThis image clearly makes me think we have more than one bear visiting Holly Slope Rd. This ones color is more black and has what appears to be a White Chest Blaze. Maybe they are a couple?

The Bear Is Back2427 viewsThe Bear is back after a short hiatus. I had heard that Bears don’t hibernate in warm climates like Southern California but maybe this one actually did hibernate for a short time.

He was actually on the street 3 nights in a row this week. He got into trash cans on a couple of nights and left a large pile of Scat in the street. Leila was excited. She was picking up the Bear’s scent on our morning walk.

At Last 12-04-20122129 viewsI set the CritterCam up in late November 2012. I checked the SD Memory Card each week to look for animals. It was a monotonous task going through each image one by one and deleting the ones I didn't want (which was most of them). Then one day I was scrolling through the images and came across this. I said out loud "holy S&#%".
