Several storms out in the Pacific were beginning to affect Northern California with heavy rain. These same storms were causing heavy surf all along the coast. A large west-northwest swell continued to affect the outer coastal waters of Southern California today. Breakers of 8 to 12 feet, with locally higher sets, pounded the coastline.
