Station Fire 23748 viewsEarly morning hours of Saturday the 29th. Temperature was 77 Degrees at 1:36am. Humidity was 15% with 3MPH Winds from the NE. Smoke was blowing back down on us. The Station Fire went on to burn uncontrolled for weeks and consumed more than 250 Square Miles.

A nice Thunderstorm was passing through and I was watching it out my window on the 14th Floor. I got to see several good lightning strikes and was able to capture this one with my camera. Geminids #23649 viewsAs mentioned in the earlier photo, I had the WebCam set up to capture an image every minute. This is the second Geminid Meteor I captured. This one was in the early morning hours and the radiant had risen high in the sky and the metoer is going almost straight down in the middle of the image.

A nice shot of a helicopter circling over the San Gabriel's the other night. It was a Sunday evening so they were probably looking for a lost/overdue hiker. The Green and Red Navigation Lights cause the change in colors in the streak of light.

Geminds #13515 viewsI had the WebCam set up to capture an image every minute in an attempt to catch a meteor. This was in the evening and the radiant was still near the Eastern horizon. The meteor can be seen in the upper left quadrant of the photo. It's trajectory is near horizontal to the horizon.
