Several storms out in the Pacific were beginning to affect Northern California with heavy rain. These same storms were causing heavy surf all along the coast. A large west-northwest swell continued to affect the outer coastal waters of Southern California today. Breakers of 8 to 12 feet, with locally higher sets, pounded the coastline. JPL Under Siege2973 viewsThursday 8/27 around 8:45 PM. Lynne and I went down to the Arroyo to see how the fire was going. It was an eerie sight to see the fire extending along the ridge behind JPL. It didn't look like it was going to get any better soon.
