Waimea Canyon1938 viewsWaimea Canyon, also known as the Grand canyon of the Pacific, is approximately ten miles long and up to 3,000 feet deep. The canyon was formed by a deep incision of the Waimea River which is fed from the extreme rainfall on the island's central peak, Mount Waiʻaleʻale. Mount Waiʻaleʻale is among the wettest places on earth.

Geminids 12-14-062148 viewsAs mentioned in the earlier photo, I had the WebCam set up to capture an image every minute. This is the second Geminid Meteor I captured. This one was in the early morning hours and the radiant had risen high in the sky and the metoer is going almost straight down in the middle of the image.

Another Day Another Bear 7-23-20181387 viewsThis Bear has been on the street several times the last few days. He was leisurely enjoying some fresh oranges off of our neighbors tree. Didn't seem to be bothered by us at all and likewise it didn't bother us.
He has a Yellow Tag in his ear. Might be Bear #515. I'm trying to find out more about him from Fish and Wildlife. (7 votes)
