Station Fire 13683 viewsImage captured on 8/28/09 4:36pm. The Station Fire which started along Angeles Crest Highway on 8/26 had now wroked it's way East. In this image the fire is racing up the back side of Brown Mountain. Temperature was 97 Degrees and Humidity was 10% with winds 2MPH out of the SSW.

Sundown Dunes2817 viewsThe setting Sun was casting an orange hue on the Sand Dunes at Dumont. Dumont is located 30 miles North of Baker CA near the Southern tip of Death Valley. It was a windy day and the winds in the upper atmosphere were affecting the clouds. I m not sure I would classify this cloud as Lenticular but it was getting close. Taken 3/25/06.
